MUSIC CATALOGUE MIGRATION

Move your music catalogue with a clear migration plan.

Planning to switch music distributors? Prepare your catalogue information, release identifiers, artwork, audio and artist details before any migration. LabelSphere can review your current setup and discuss the information needed for a smoother transition.

Audit your existing releases

Create a list of live releases and verify titles, versions, artist names, contributors, release dates and platform links. Consistent metadata helps reduce mismatches during a transfer.

Keep ISRCs and UPCs accurate

Record the existing ISRC for each recording and UPC for each release. Do not create duplicate identifiers or change metadata without checking the migration requirements.

Gather audio, artwork and access

Collect final audio, approved artwork, metadata sheets and artist profile links. Note which releases are active, pending, blocked or already scheduled.

Plan the move before making changes.

Share your current distributor, catalogue size, release list, identifiers and upcoming release dates. Agree on the migration sequence before requesting takedowns or redelivery. Store processing and catalogue matching are not fully controlled by any distributor.

Important: do not remove existing releases until you have an agreed migration plan. Matching, profile links and availability depend on correct data and each platform’s processing.

Discuss your catalogue migration.

Tell us your catalogue size, current distributor, release schedule and any migration issues. Our team can review the details and discuss the next steps.
